NHS England has recently clarified that all high-quality training, including AVM’s City & Guilds accredited courses, plays a crucial role in educating staff in Sterile Services and Endoscope Processing Departments. Our programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of today’s healthcare environment.

AVM Services provide specialist training for Sterile Services Technicians in the decontamination of reusable medical devices carried out by our team of experts at a location of your choice.

Sterile Services Staff decontamination training courses are conducted by our expert authorising engineers together with specialist decontamination personnel, accredited trainers and A1/A2 assessors.

Sterile Services Technician Training Courses with AVM Services

AVM offers further training for members of staff who are fully & substantially experienced in all aspects of Sterile Services or Flexible Endoscope reprocessing who having reached Team Leader level wish to develop their role further before moving forward into junior management roles.

AVM is unable to offer Sterile Services Training in relation to how to undertake base tasks within the Decontamination Environment. Such as instrument identification, the correct washing of medical devices, the packing of medical devices, Operation of Sterilisers etc. This type of training is undertaken as part of a comprehensive in-house ‘hands-on’ training that is undertaken within decontamination units, under the direction of the decontamination manager according to local principles and policies, and as an integral part of the department’s Quality Management System. This can take approximately 12 months to fully complete.
